Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa
HOTEL OVERVIEW
Furnished with natural tones, soft linen, wood hues that reflect the particular warmth of the Mauritian character, rustic thatch roofs and lush vegetation surrounding you wherever you are on the gorgeous grounds of this spectacular resort, Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa is its own category of paradise.
This resort is on a prime Grand Bay property, perched on a peninsula with two beaches, each offering a different view. Woven into the legacy of the resort is a little piece of Mauritius' rich cultural history, blending old and new in innovative, creative ways: A new and unique safari-inspired kids club offers youngsters aged 3 – 11 years a world of fun and entertainment. Kids can broaden their horizons with activities in a generous playground and in a tented village. The old lighthouse now serves as a venue for the Teens Club and the spa has been built in the branches of an ancient banyan tree.
Canonnier has always remained a favoured family resort, with endless entertainment for adults and children alike. Its close proximity to Grand Bay gives you the option of retail therapy, while the resort's treehouse spa, built in the branches of a centuries-old banyan tree, has other therapies on offer to ease weary minds and bodies. Canonnier is a vibrant resort. While it is the choice for the fun-loving fraternity, it's been built with sheer relaxation in mind and the perfect balance for the ideal vacation.

What To Pack
As a guide, the maximum weight for checked luggage is 20kg in economy class and 30kg in business class. Your hand-luggage should not weigh more than 6kg and needs to be small and compact.
Take along your best beach and casual wear, perfect for the day. A light rain jacket might come in handy in the event of the occasional rain shower. Sunglasses and suntan lotion are a must. Flip flops, sun hat and a beach bag. If you’re planning on adventuring around the island (there’s so much more to see and do outside of your hotel!) be sure to pack a pair of comfy walking shoes, and lots of suncream!
-
Take Your Own
Don’t forget any medication that you might need, and be sure to pack it in your hand luggage.
Chargers for all your devices (it’s a good idea to take along a few movies on a tablet or something similar as the English TV channels in your hotel may be limited).
Take along your own goggles & snorkels – even though your resort will have this equipment available free of charge or to hire, you’ll probably be happier having your own.
Mosquito repellent. An underwater camera is a great idea.

Travel Tips
Pack a change of clothing in your hand luggage in case of baggage delays (and a spare cozzie so at least you can have a swim when you get to your resort). No sharp objects are permitted in your hand luggage (yes, tweezers are sharp!). Put electronics, medication, toothbrushes and jewellery in your carry-on bag.
Travel insurance is a must. If you can’t afford it, you can’t afford to travel! Travelling with kids – please check that you have all the relevant documents including unabridged Birth Certificates.
It’s often a good idea to let your bank or credit card company know that you’re going overseas.
