Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge
HOTEL OVERVIEW
Expansive ocean views and balmy sunsets invite guests to lose themselves in complete tranquility. Located on the very edge of the Unguja Island where the Indian Ocean reaches the shore, Chuini Zanzibar Lodge is the most voguish property to grace Zanzibar’s west coast. Set just twelve kilometers north of Stone Town, Chuini’s bungalows are spread out over a 1.5-hectare area, allowing for excellent privacy. Palm trees embellish the grounds and magnificent, panoramic sea views can be soaked in from each unit, a taste of perfection.
Accommodation at Chuini comes in the form of its Deluxe Bungalow (with a large bedroom and lounge area, terrace, and ocean views), Superior Bungalow (offering more privacy, a king-size bed, and terrace overlooking the sea), or its two-bedroom Villa.
Amenities at the lodge include three swimming pools, various dining and sundowner spots, Wi-Fi throughout, a private beach, spa, air-conditioning, and room service. Activities on offer range from big game fishing and diving to sunset cruises, snorkelling, and excursions across the island.
Dining in Zanzibar is a superb experience, made memorable not only by the beautiful surroundings but also by the exotic spices and unique flavours that are true to this region’s dishes. Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge offers both half-board and full-board arrangements, and while guests’ privacy is of highest priority, a full catering service is brought right to the doorsteps of the bungalows and the villa.

What To Pack
As a guide, the maximum weight for checked luggage is 20kg in economy class and 30kg in business class. Your hand-luggage should not weigh more than 6kg and needs to be small and compact.
Take along your best beach and casual wear, perfect for the day. A light rain jacket might come in handy in the event of the occasional rain shower. Sunglasses and suntan lotion are a must. Flip flops, sun hat and a beach bag. If you’re planning on adventuring around the island (there’s so much more to see and do outside of your hotel!) be sure to pack a pair of comfy walking shoes, and lots of suncream!
-
Take Your Own
Don’t forget any medication that you might need, and be sure to pack it in your hand luggage.
Chargers for all your devices (it’s a good idea to take along a few movies on a tablet or something similar as the English TV channels in your hotel may be limited).
Take along your own goggles & snorkels – even though your resort will have this equipment available free of charge or to hire, you’ll probably be happier having your own.
Mosquito repellent. An underwater camera is a great idea.

Travel Tips
Pack a change of clothing in your hand luggage in case of baggage delays (and a spare cozzie so at least you can have a swim when you get to your resort). No sharp objects are permitted in your hand luggage (yes, tweezers are sharp!). Put electronics, medication, toothbrushes and jewellery in your carry-on bag.
Travel insurance is a must. If you can’t afford it, you can’t afford to travel! Travelling with kids – please check that you have all the relevant documents including unabridged Birth Certificates.
It’s often a good idea to let your bank or credit card company know that you’re going overseas.
