The new Sunrise Attitude faces one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius at Belle Mare, located along the reserved east coast. It’s known for its miles of white sand and stunning turquoise lagoon. This 4-star hotel is reserved exclusively for adults and is a serene hideaway, taking design inspiration from the beautiful surroundings: the terracotta and mustard gold earth tones, the leaf green and glimpses of blue. In the architecture, they've used wood, stone and thatch; and decorated with a perfect blend of local materials. These include raffia and rattan, plus terrazzo and graphic effects created with ravenala and coconut leaves. Attitude want to support the local economy and community, so the furniture and decorations in the hotel are made locally, wherever possible.

Whether it’s simply dining in one of the hotel’s stylish restaurants and feasting on locally sourced produce, guests are encouraged to consider their personal footprint in the area and are invited to take part in the resorts bespoke Otentik programme. With a focus on supporting the local community and economy, the daily pop-up Bazar featuring some of the most innovative local designers is the perfect spot to pick up bespoke mementos from handmade natural soaps and wicker baskets to upcycled handbags and delicious condiments. For those who want to delve deeper into the melting pot of Mauritian culture, a handful of the exemplary hotel staff also offer dining experiences at their family homes, offering unrivalled insight into traditional island life.
